With no government support, the school relies entirely on the generosity of compassionate individuals like you to provide these children with quality education, nutritious meals, medical assistance, and a safe learning environment. FLOW WHERE THERE WAS NONE
Mangaltai and her daughter, Dimple Ghadge, founded Palawi in 2001 with a deep commitment to providing abandoned HIV+ children with a second chance at life. Their mission was not only to give these children a home but also to correct the injustices they had suffered. For over four decades, Mangaltai and her dedicated team have rescued hundreds of children from the streets, offering them love, care, and dignity. Through their relentless efforts, over 1,000 HIV+ children have received life-saving medical treatment, education, and the support needed to lead normal lives.
THE NEED
Education is a fundamental right, yet many children at Palawi Dnyanmandir School have been denied this opportunity due to their circumstances. Since 2007, the school has functioned independently without government funding, ensuring that every child receives a well-rounded education. However, it is much more than just a place for learning—it is a sanctuary where children receive emotional support, skill development, and the nourishment they need to thrive. Your donations not only fund books and teachers’ salaries but also cover essential aspects like food, healthcare, and vocational training that prepare these children for a self-sufficient future.
URGENT APPEAL
The school is currently facing significant financial challenges. The rising costs of running an educational institution without government aid make it difficult to sustain operations. Funds are urgently needed to cover teachers’ salaries, administration costs, educational materials, and infrastructure maintenance.
